It posts reports, live coverage and its own pick of the most-discussed events inside Russia and around the world, including footage gathered on the ground. That context is worth keeping in view: as state-funded media, its editorial line reflects that of the government backing it, something no outlet, public or private, is entirely free of. That's not a reason to dismiss it, but a reason to read it in context. It helps to know where this is coming from: RT is state media, and since 2022 its broadcasting has been restricted across the European Union. That doesn't make it useless — to understand how a conflict is presented from Moscow it is a primary source — but it does argue against treating it as your only one. If you follow geopolitics, read it alongside at least one outlet from a different editorial orbit.
